ROLES OF RESPONSIBILITY
There are a variety of roles of responsibility in the academy. The children in each year group from Year One onwards can stand for the School Council. They prepare a speech and are voted in by their peers. They then meet regularly with a staff member to develop the academy through pupil voice.

Children also support their peers as Lunchtime Play Leaders.
SPIRITUAL
Our spiritual development enables pupils to look within themselves, at their human relationships and the wider world. Explore beliefs and experience; respect values; discover oneself and the surrounding world; use imagination and creativity; reflect.
We are committed to celebrating Christianity, other religions and non-religious beliefs and values that our pupils bring as part of their family culture / heritage, and we build awareness of and respect others' spiritual and religious beliefs. CHILDREN 'S WELLBEING
We ensure that the wellbeing of children is met in a variety of ways. We have weekly PSHE sessions using the Cambridgeshire scheme for local context. The children have access to class worry boxes and worry monsters so they can share and be supported with any worries they may have.
We are a listening academy and ensure that all children are listened to through our School Council. We regularly survey children to gain their views on the academy. One of the main areas of focus during these surveys is to ensure the children feel safe and know who to speak to if they are worried about anything.
Adult-Student relationships are an integral factor in creating a positive and nurturing learning environment.
Each day we take part in mindfulness breathing exercises, after our play and lunch breaks and at the start of daily assemblies.
We foster a sense of belonging and safety by creating a positive and welcoming environment from the beginning. We start every day positively through the use of our welcome morning greetings:

Members of SLT greet staff each morning and check in with them to start their day positively.
