Our Vision
At Manor Drive Primary we have five core beliefs. Everything that we do, from our curriculum to our behaviour policy, stems from these guiding principles:
Well-Being
There is nothing more important to us than the physical and emotional health and well-being of our children and staff. We teach our children to be kind to others and kind to themselves, promoting positive mental health and emotional maturity. Our school is a safe place for everyone to thrive and succeed.
High Expectations
Children succeed when the adults around them believe that they can achieve great things. We support our children to try their best and to demonstrate excellent learning behaviours, such as focus and perseverance. Our classrooms are calm and productive without distractions.
Enriching Curriculum
Learning equips children with the skills to succeed in their schooling and in life. More importantly, learning enriches us and opens up new possibilities and ideas. We teach children knowledge from a broad range of subject areas and encourage creativity and critical thinking.
Every Child is a Reader
Our aim is not only to teach children how to read but to show them the joy of reading and give them a love of books that will last them a lifetime. Our staff also know the value of reading to constantly develop their teaching practice.
Collaboration
We are proud to be part of the Manor Drive community and understand the importance of working in partnership with parents. Our teachers collaborate closely with Manor Drive Secondary Academy. We learn from the outstanding practice of other schools and we support others with our own expertise.
